FAQs

I just started using SUNAQUA and my dry skin seems to be even worse. What's happening?
After using SUNAQUA, you might find that your skin initially sees an INCREASE in dry skin. Do not panic! This is most likely caused by a die-off of the yeasts on your skin. This is normal and is actually a positive indication. By the end of the 30-day protocol of daily use, we are confident that you are on the way to rebalancing your scalp and face, improving the appearance of your skin.
I finished the 30-day protocol. What do I do now?
After the initial 30-day protocol is complete, feel free to experiment with your own usage frequency. Here at SUNAQUA, we wash every second day. But it’s a personal choice. Remember that if the frequency drops too low, your dry, flaky skin will look for a chance to return. You need to keep on top of that. If you don’t use it, it can’t work for you!
Can SUNAQUA cure Seborrheic Dermatitis?
No, there is no cure for SD and SUNAQUA makes no claims to be able to do so. SUNAQUA aims to improve the appearance of flaky skin and redness, and soothe irritation.
What else can I do about my Seborrheic Dermatitis?
Understand your enemy! Don’t feed the beast. Yeasts of all kinds thrive on sugars and other yeasts, so try to improve your diet – consume less sugar and alcohol and fewer carbs.
I dropped my frequency of using SUNAQUA, my symptoms returned, and I've been scatching again. Now my scalp is red and flaky again. What can I do?
First, you must STOP SCRATCHING! Then return to the 30-day protocol and complete it once more. This will give your skin a chance to recover. Here at the office, we have found, the more you use SUNAQUA, the better the results, even over the long-term.
What time of day do you suggest I wash my face?
Try using SUNAQUA at night, washing your face before bed. This gives the skin a chance to rebalance its oils overnight. In the morning, just wash lightly with warmish water. If you are in an emergency situation and your skin has dried-out areas, a little dab of saliva will hydrate the area. The use of any moisturizer is not recommended.
Is Seborrheic Dermatitis the same as dandruff?
Dandruff is a mild form of seborrheic dermatitis that affects the scalp.
What is Malassezia yeast?
Malassezia is a type of yeast that naturally lives on the skin of humans and other warm-blooded animals. It is typically a normal part of the skin’s microbiome. However, under certain conditions, it can contribute to skin problems. It’s thought that Malassezia breaks down sebum (skin oil) into byproducts that can irritate the skin, leading to inflammation, redness, and flaking.
Can I buy SUNAQUA in stores?
No. Currently, amazon.co.uk is our only sales channel.
I found a fruit fly in my bottle!
Sunaqua leaves the factory having been manufactured to the highest GMP standards, as required by law. Because of the enzyme-rich nature of the product, it can often attract small flies and insects when left on your bathroom shelf. Please close the cap when you are not using the product.
